Mrs.‘Elisapeti Langi first joined the Crown Law Department in 2008, after having graduated with an LLB from the University of the South Pacific and being admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Fiji. Upon joining the Department, Mrs. Langi was appointed Assistant Legal Officer in 2008 before being promoted to Crown Counsel in 2009. Mrs.Langi successfully completed a Master in Criminology course from the University of Sydney. She was appointed to the post of Assistant Senior Crown Counsel in June 2015.
Mrs.Langi appeared on behalf of the Crown in the first criminal prosecution under the Computer Crimes Act and secured a conviction. Her main duties include conducting of more complex criminal and civil cases and providing complex legal advice to Government ministries.
Mrs. Langi is a member of the Tonga Law Society.
